Chapter1: gives a little biography of Habib:
After describing his good conduct and looking, it narrates his previous education career in Ilorin before his migration to Abuja and joining a Muslim community with a group that regularly assemble in a Mosque. The chapter narrates how Habib became popular in this group through his outstanding knowledge and activities of being an Arabic Poet which include interpreting khutbah (sermon) of the Imam from Arabic to Yoruba. He carried out these both on weekly basis and on special occasions like naming and wedding, until everybody recognized him and the leader of the group chose to love him and offer him a room in his house to reside. Hence, the Amir became his guardian.
Chapter 2 may be described as scene 1
it describes a computer centre in a road nearby shop, visited by Habib and found Jamilah , one of the apprentices lovely and attractive. Jamilah noticed this in Habib and displayed same feeling more affectionately for the first time in her life. Hence, pleasantries were exchanged and she collected his mobile phone number.
Chapter 3 describes an event at walimatul Qur’an organized by the group to which Habib belong.
He had invited Jamilah to witness the occasion which she did. They had time to discuss. Habib was seen seeing her off while the event was about to end. Hence, the foundation for the love relationship solidified.
Chapter 4 narrates the events on the fixed day of appointment where Jamilah visited Habib and Habib opened up his interest to formalize the relationship, her response was positive. Invariably, the love relationship became firmly established.
Chapter 5 brings to light some challenges that came to face the love relationship, the first was displeasure of Jamilah’s guardian over her relationship with Habib while the more serious one was the migration of Jamilah from the guardian to her parents’ custody and hence a wide gap was created for a long time, there was only via telephone communication between Habib and Jamilah.
